Modern Warfare 4 players call for removal of DMZ's Possum self-revive
Two days into pre-order access, Call of Duty players say the Possum operator trait is too strong, citing its 10-second self-revive and lost loot.
Players with early access to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4's DMZ mode are calling for the removal of an operator trait called Possum, two days after the mode opened to pre-order customers. The wider player base gains access to DMZ later today.
Possum is unlocked through operator progression and allows a killed player to revive once per match, entering a Last Stand state before getting back up. The self-revive takes roughly 10 uninterrupted seconds and removes the loot the player had gathered. Players can unlock it in a few hours by focusing operator progression on the Warfighter path, according to Eurogamer.
On the DMZ subreddit, players including pdmaloney94, SkinDiesel, cleppingout and Wilus82 criticised the trait, with some asking for it to be removed. Call of Duty YouTubers Phixate and Wynn-Gaming also objected, calling it broken and crazy respectively.
Some players suggested counters, such as moving on from the body or placing trip mines and land mines on corpses. Others reported spawning in the middle of roads and being run over immediately.
Modern Warfare 4's DMZ mode launched for pre-order players two days before this article.
