Modern Warfare 4 Double XP Tokens Now Only Tick In-Match
Infinity Ward confirms Double XP tokens in Modern Warfare 4 will only count down during matches, not in menus or matchmaking.
Double XP tokens in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will only count down while a player is in a match, Infinity Ward has confirmed. Previously, the timers continued ticking in menus and while searching for a match.
The change was discussed alongside time-to-kill values, spawning algorithms, and UI issues in a "The Road to Launch" video from the developer. The studio also noted that players can toggle off skins they do not want to see in Warzone, but that option is not yet supported for Modern Warfare 4.
Modern Warfare 4 launches on October 23 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC. It is the first Call of Duty release on a Nintendo platform since 2013's Call of Duty: Ghosts, and the first game in the series since Ghosts to skip PS4 and Xbox One.
