Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 launches with modular Kill Block map
The multiplayer map reconfigures after every match, offering more than 500 configurations at launch and support for 3v3 and 10v10 Gunfight.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 launches today, October 23, 2026, and with it arrives Kill Block, a multiplayer map that reconfigures after each match. According to Xbox Wire, more than 500 map configurations are possible at launch.
Kill Block is built from three modular sections: two End Slabs and one Central Slab. At launch the map supports 3v3 play as well as a new 10v10 Gunfight mode, with future support for additional core Multiplayer modes planned.
Some of the slabs recreate iconic locations from across the series, including Crash from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (2007), Storage Town from Warzone's Verdansk, and Shoot House from Modern Warfare (2019). The slabs can also trigger rain or snow weather effects that affect visibility.
In September 2026, the map was playable during the Modern Warfare 4 Beta. The Call of Duty Blog previously confirmed that most Kill Block sections are entirely new while others draw on iconic Modern Warfare locations.
