Modern Warfare 4 patch fixes Hijack spawns and S&D defuse exploit
Infinity Ward's new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 update also tackles DMZ stash prompts, an Exfil helicopter bug and loadout glitches.
Infinity Ward has released a new patch for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 that is live now, targeting spawn behaviour in Hijack, a defuse exploit in Search and Destroy and a series of DMZ issues, according to PCGamesN.
The update improves spawn locations and respawn timing in the Hijack mode and closes an issue that allowed bomb defusal from an unintended distance or position in Search and Destroy. It also stops the Deathstalker killstreak from leaving the map on Rooftops.
Elsewhere in multiplayer, the Portable Radar field upgrade now correctly shows the minimap in Hardcore, and the favorite Operators feature works correctly on Collateral. Infinity Ward has temporarily disabled the regional map animation played during matchmaking while it investigates reports of hitching.
The patch also clears up several interface and loadout problems: menu-closing bugs, finishing move effects appearing in other menus, and the inventory stack-split keybind not updating with a custom bind. Loadout fixes cover non-melee weapons in the weapon slot, ineligible M4 attachments causing a visual glitch and attachments not resetting on prestige through Gunsmith. DMZ weapon builds no longer appear as usable in regular multiplayer modes.
DMZ changes
In DMZ, stash options no longer pop up unexpectedly mid-screen, party leaders cannot pull teammates out without consent, an out-of-bounds glitch in the FOB is fixed and stuck spots in rocks on Hajin were adjusted. The Exfil helicopter no longer disappears while players are inside, Dark Zone story mission objective markers show the correct target, and AI reinforcements spawn less often in the Shopping mission.
Infinity Ward said it is still investigating spectators being kicked at random and a network error caused by extracting from DMZ with a looted Dog Tag.
