Activision Blizzard Japan announced that Season 1 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will begin on November 7, 2026 at 7:00 Japan time, according to gamebiz.jp. The update brings new multiplayer maps, additional modes and a new map for DMZ.
Season 1 adds the multiplayer maps Backstab and Canyon, along with Shipment, which was made available ahead of the season. Two further maps, Kokkan and Overflow, are scheduled for the middle of the season.
The Kill Block playlist gains Crash, a map set around a crashed helicopter with three fixed sectors; it will join playlists including Search & Destroy. New modes include Infected, Possession, Grind, Drop Zone and Gauntlet 1v1, and DMZ unlocks the X01 map.
Two new weapons arrive with the season: the Cronen Osprey assault rifle and the CSG-35 SMG, both supporting attachment customization. The Battle Pass offers 100 tiers of rewards such as weapon blueprints and operator skins, alongside a premium Battle Pass, BlackCell and a secret edition.
