Mycopunk leaves Early Access with 1.0 and lands on PS5

Devolver Digital's co-op sci-fi shooter adds new guns, maps and a playable character, and arrives on PlayStation 5 for the first time.

Devolver Digital released version 1.0 of Mycopunk on the 21st, ending the co-op sci-fi shooter's Early Access phase and bringing the game to PlayStation 5 for the first time. The publisher announced the full release, according to gamemeca.com.

The 1.0 update adds new guns, grenades, mods and maps, along with a completely new character. It also introduces the ability to put hats on characters, a cosmetic option for the game's cleanup crews.

On PS5, the game is playable through PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium. The PC version had been available since the Early Access launch.

Mycopunk, developed by Pigeons at Play, was first shown in Early Access in July of last year. In the game, players form a cleanup crew and fight fungal threats on the surface of New Atlas.
