The 30 finalist works advanced out of about 400 submitted worlds. Nexon plans to select 7 final winning teams in December.
Finalist teams receive support funds worth 50 million won and a chance to join the MapleStory Worlds creator support program. Final winning teams receive an additional 40 million won worth of support funds per team.
The finalist works will be introduced in the MapleStory Worlds Creator Festival 2026 broadcast, which features creators Chimchakman, Cheolmyeonsusim and Magic Park, as well as the creator group Hyeanjuersu (Hyean, Alice, Yeonho and Menpa).
The contest, created to discover global developers who creatively interpret and expand the core fun of the MapleStory IP, accepted submissions through the sandbox platform MapleStory Worlds until October 7.
