Nexon, Purme Foundation hold 3,000-participant charity run in Seoul
The 2026 Miracle365 Purme Run marked the 10th anniversary of the Purme Foundation Nexon Children's Rehabilitation Hospital, with all entry fees going to treatment costs.
Nexon and the Purme Foundation held the '2026 Miracle365 Purme Run' at Peace Plaza in World Cup Park, Mapo-gu, Seoul, on the morning of November 7, according to ZDNet Korea. About 3,000 people with and without disabilities took part in a 3km walk and a 10km run course.
The event had no ranking-based awards; it measured times but did not rank participants. It was held to mark the 10th anniversary of the opening of the Purme Foundation Nexon Children's Rehabilitation Hospital.
A 'Challenge! Nexon Best Dresser' event featured participants dressed as Nexon game characters, including MapleStory outfits. Singer Sean, wheelchair athletics national team athlete Yoo Byeong-hoon and rehabilitation patient Park Seon-yul joined the 10km course.
About 300 Nexon employees participated, with Nexon covering entry fees and running a one-day running class for first-time 10km runners. The Nexon Foundation sponsored the entire operating cost of the event through the 'Nexon Hero 30 Fund', so all entry fees go to rehabilitation treatment costs for children with disabilities.
Nexon Foundation chairman Kim Jung-wook said rehabilitation resembles a marathon in that finishing matters more than speed and going together takes you farther.
