Nolan North Would Return as Nathan Drake '110%' If Asked
Nolan North says he has heard nothing about a new Uncharted project, but would voice Nathan Drake again if Naughty Dog asked.
Nolan North said he would return to voice Nathan Drake in a new Uncharted game "110%" if he were asked, while making clear he has heard nothing about such a project. He spoke at Gamergy in Puerto Rico, according to GameSpot.
North added a condition to his willingness: he would want Naughty Dog to avoid making an Uncharted game that does not live up to the franchise's legacy.
North voiced Nathan Drake across the four main Uncharted games, a run that ended with Uncharted 4: A Thief's End in 2016. He did not voice the character in The Lost Legacy, and he had a cameo in the Uncharted movie.
What's known about a new Uncharted
Naughty Dog has repeatedly suggested it is not done with the Uncharted franchise. According to multiple sources, a fifth mainline Uncharted game will be Naughty Dog's next project after Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, which is reportedly due for release in 2027, with a third The Last of Us game possibly to follow. That report said Nathan Drake would appear in the hypothetical Uncharted 5 in some capacity.
Sony is expected to release its next-generation console, likely the PlayStation 6, sometime in 2028.
