One Way Eleven announces Hanno: A Magical Tale for PC in 2027

The action-adventure follows an orphan boy, Vimal, and an injured baby elephant whose magic works only while he is carried.

One Way Eleven announced Hanno: A Magical Tale, an action-adventure game planned for release in 2027 on PC via Steam, according to gamebiz.jp.

The story follows Vimal, an orphan boy in a small village, who meets an injured baby elephant named Hanno in the forest. Hanno's magic only works while Vimal carries the elephant on his back, and the game includes sections in which the player controls Hanno.

The game is set in a world called Ashahl, which has its own language. The setting draws on a real Asian elephant sent from Portugal to the Pope in 1514.

Creative director Pedro Campos of One Way Eleven said the relationship is meant to leave players unsure which of the two is protecting the other.
