Overwatch 2 Patch Cuts Cassidy's High Noon Tether, Reworks Roadhog

Blizzard's new Overwatch 2 season also adds the hero Doctrine and reworks Sombra, with Cassidy now dropping from the tether when High Noon activates.

Blizzard Entertainment launched a new Overwatch 2 season with a balance patch that stops Cassidy from staying attached to the tether while using his High Noon Ultimate, according to Kotaku. When Cassidy activates High Noon, he now detaches from the tether and falls to the ground.

In the patch notes, Blizzard said the combination of the tether and High Noon was too powerful for repositioning Cassidy.

The season also introduces the new hero Doctrine and reworks for Sombra and Roadhog. Roadhog's Scrap Gun primary fire now fires two bursts per volley, with ammo increased from 6 to 12. His Scrap Gun secondary fire has been removed and replaced by a new ability, Trash Compactor.

Jetpack Cat was one of the first heroes Overwatch 2 added this year as part of a push to bring 10 new characters to the roster.

Overwatch 2 has previously patched out infinite states such as Sombra's invisibility and Wrecking Ball's tether.
