Indie developer Alex has launched a free demo of Parcel Inspector Simulator on Steam. The demo gives players five nights of the full game's eventual 20-night story campaign, which will include multiple endings.
The game is a first-person inspection simulator set during a night shift at a relay post office in 1962, according to gamemeca.com. Players take on the role of a new inspector and check parcels arriving on a conveyor belt.
Each parcel can be approved, returned to sender, held for customs or security, confiscated, or destroyed. After the first day, there is no direct feedback on mistakes; wrong judgments lead to salary deductions, reputation loss, or regulation violations.
Every workday introduces new regulations, with situations such as return fraud, fragile items, and counterfeit goods. Salary earned from accurate work can be spent on upgrades including a digital scale indicator, an X-ray HD tube, and a terminal reference database.
The full version is scheduled for release on November 13, with support for 13 languages, including Korean.
