Peak Launches on PS5, Switch 2 and Xbox With Cross-Play and 208 Maps
A 10GB update expands the map rotation from roughly 30 to 208 maps and raises the game's Steam install size to about 15GB.
Peak has launched on PS5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox PC, bringing cross-play across all platforms for the first time, according to gamesradar.com. The console release arrived alongside a 10GB update that brought the game's total size to about 15GB on Steam.
The update expands the map rotation to 208 maps, up from roughly 30. The developers said the map pool grew because they wanted lasting replayability as development wraps up.
Several fixes are included or under way. A bug that could send Steam users joining lobbies into a different region has been fixed. A Switch 2 issue that caused players to clip through the floor when jumping too high is being fixed, and reported framerate drops on Xbox are being addressed.
Regional pricing under review
PlayStation players in some regions, such as Brazil, may see unusually high regional pricing. The team says it is fixing the issue.
Until the console ports, Peak had remained PC-only for more than a year after its swift ascent on the platform. Previously, the team uploaded about 30 new maps in Steam patches every few weeks, manually regenerating maps each time.
