Pokémon Neo Ultra Mod Adds 50+ Boss Fights to Alola

Modder Variant Hoop's Pokémon Ultra Sun difficulty hack includes a full Pokédex overhaul, new Neo, Paradox and Convergent forms, and buffs for almost every Pokémon.

Modder Variant Hoop has announced Pokémon Neo Ultra, a difficulty hack of Pokémon Ultra Sun set in the Alola region, according to screenrant.com. The project features more than 50 boss fights and new Pokémon forms labeled Neo, Paradox and Convergent.

The mod makes every Pokémon available and includes a complete Pokédex overhaul. Almost every Pokémon in the game has received a significant buff, and multiple characters have also been buffed.

Regional forms are part of the expanded roster, including Galarian Corsola, Hisuian Qwilfish and White Striped Basculin. Gems return, and the mod adds numerous quality-of-life mechanics. Furfrou's coat trims work similarly to Rotom's forms, lining up with color-based secondary typings.

Variant Hoop cited Elite Redux as an inspiration and said the design emphasizes team building and difficult fights. The creator also said the mod was not tested for Nuzlocke runs because the game scales too quickly.

The Alola region first appeared in Pokémon Sun and Moon. No release date for Pokémon Neo Ultra was given.
