Player rebuilds Ion Mall in Pokémon Pokopia after four months
The in-game mall includes a second-floor food court and a third-floor cinema, and the builder left room for a future hot spring.
A player known as Denene has built a recreation of an Ion Mall shopping centre inside Pokémon Pokopia, according to Automaton Media. The build took about four months, a period that also covered completing the game's story.
The in-game mall includes a food court on the second floor and a cinema on the third floor. To get the details right, the builder took more than 100 reference photos at real Ion Malls over the four months.
The player has left empty space for future extensions, including a hot spring. Ion Mall is a shopping centre brand operated by the Aeon Group; Jusco is the former name of the stores the builder visited as a child.
