Nintendo to shut down Pokemon Unite on March 23, 2027
Sales of the premium currency Aeos Gems have already stopped, and a Library update lets players review career stats and play practice rounds.
Nintendo has announced that Pokemon Unite will end service on March 23, 2027, according to GameSpot. Sales of Aeos Gems, the game's premium in-game currency, have been halted.
Players can now download a Library update that lets them view their career progress and stats and play practice rounds, ahead of the shutdown date.
The end of service falls just days after the Aeos Crown 2027 tournament, which closes out the competitive calendar for the game.
Pokemon Unite, developed by TiMi Studio Group, first launched for the Nintendo Switch on July 21, 2021. The title did not make the cut for the 2027 Pokemon World Championships.
The shutdown adds to a wider set of Nintendo mobile titles that have ended, including Mario Kart Tour, while Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp moved to a microtransaction-free $10 version.
