Mushitsugi's 'Probability of Being Born Human' life sim launches free in browser

Japanese developer Mushitsugi released the free browser life simulator on October 14, where players are born as any animal based on real population odds.

Japanese indie developer Mushitsugi released the free browser life simulator 'Probability of Being Born Human' on October 14, according to Automaton Media. The game runs in a browser and costs nothing to play.

In the simulator, players are assigned an organism drawn from every animal on Earth, from parasites to humans, with each species weighted by its real population. In the all-animals mode, the odds of being born human are 1 in 101.1 billion, while the mammals-only mode puts them at 1 in 16.

Once born, the player's organism is classified in the order kingdom, phylum, class, order, family, genus and species, with a photo and an introduction to the animal. Players cannot direct its actions; clicking or tapping adjusts the simulation speed up to a maximum of 16 times.

The game also records how many animal species the player has experienced across runs.
