REMIMORY Pushes Drift Diary to 2027, Outlines Four-Stage Early Access Roadmap

The studio says the delay is meant to raise the survival sandbox game's level of completion, with a Steam playtest planned for the first quarter of 2027.

REMIMORY has delayed the release of Drift Diary: Mysterious Island and the Dimensional Gate to 2027, according to gamemeca.com. The studio said the postponement is intended to raise the game's level of completion.

The title is described as a bright, casual anime-style girls survival sandbox game about a group of girls stranded on a mysterious island. Players gather resources, fish, cook, build housing, manage farms and craft costumes to dress up the characters. Exploration covers both the island and its dungeons, with vehicles used to get around and monsters to fight, and online co-op supports up to four players.

Alongside the delay, REMIMORY teased new subculture-themed housing options, including a school and a maid cafe, each with matching costumes.

Four stages to early access

The studio also laid out a four-stage roadmap to early access: a test, a demo distribution, participation in Steam Next Fest, and then the early access release. The test is set to run on Steam in the first quarter of 2027, with sign-ups opening alongside the playtest notice once the build is ready.

A previous trailer introduced the game's basic housing.
