Rockstar to Publish Max Payne Remakes from Remedy
Rockstar Games will publish Max Payne remakes developed by Remedy Entertainment for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S in one package.
Rockstar Games has confirmed it will publish remakes of the first two Max Payne games, developed by Remedy Entertainment. The remakes will launch on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S in a single package.
Remedy Entertainment originally developed Max Payne and Max Payne 2, while Rockstar developed Max Payne 3. This marks a reunion for the series, which has been dormant since 2012.
The announcement comes as Rockstar prepares for the release of Grand Theft Auto VI on 19 November. The game has been delayed twice and is currently marketed as a single-player experience.
Rockstar's last major release was Red Dead Redemption 2 in 2018, following Grand Theft Auto V in 2013. The company has not confirmed a release date for the next iteration of GTA Online, which is expected to be offered as a separate standalone purchase.
According to Screen Rant, the Max Payne remakes are part of Rockstar's broader publishing strategy.
