RuneScape: Dragonwilds Adds Prayer, Hunter and Slayer Skills

Jagex's 2026–2027 roadmap brings Prayer in December's free Luminance update, then Hunter in 2027 with Song of Rebellion.

Jagex has confirmed that RuneScape: Dragonwilds will gain three new skills — Prayer, Hunter and Slayer — as part of a roadmap running through 2026 and 2027, according to gamerant.com.

Prayer arrives first in December 2026 as part of the free Luminance update. Players will be able to bury bones, scatter ashes and build altars at their bases, which unlock prayers that grant passive effects.

Hunter is planned for 2027 alongside Song of Rebellion, the first chapter of the Blood Crystal Saga. The skill lets players sneak up on creatures, set traps and collect animals. In the region around the elven city of Ailddinas, players will encounter implings, new Kebbit variants, grizzly bears and birds.

Slayer is also confirmed for the roadmap, but Jagex has not given a release date or a detailed breakdown of how the skill will work.

Monthly drops and quarterly updates

Alongside the three skills, Jagex plans monthly content drops and larger quarterly updates through 2027. The roadmap places Prayer in the free Luminance update in December 2026, with Hunter following in 2027 as part of the opening chapter of the Blood Crystal Saga.
