A playable demo of runz is available now on PC, released ahead of Steam Next Fest, according to gamingonlinux.com. The game is a top-down twin-stick roguelite arena shooter in which the magazine itself is the build.
In runz, players survive twenty rounds of escalating waves before fighting a boss. Between rounds they spend cash in a shop to buy bullets, merge three copies into a stronger one, enchant slots, equip mods, and choose the magazine's firing order.
The game includes 90 bullets, 23 synergies and 89 mods to draft from. It features 7 characters, each with its own magazine and rule, and 5 Depth difficulty tiers, each ending on its own boss, plus an endless mode.
runz also includes 43 achievements that unlock characters, bullets, mods and deeper Depths.
