#SaveMassEffect Plans Mass Legendary Edition Session on November 7

Organizers want a coordinated three-hour play session to push Mass Effect Legendary Edition's concurrent Steam player count.

The #SaveMassEffect movement has announced a coordinated Mass Effect Legendary Edition play session for November 7, 2026, according to gamerant.com. The event runs for three hours, from 11 AM to 2 PM Pacific Time and 7 PM to 10 PM GMT, with other regional slots available for players outside those zones.

Organizers say the goal is to push the game's concurrent Steam player count high enough to draw Electronic Arts' attention. Console players are also encouraged to take part by posting screenshots tagged #SaveMassEffect.

The session is promoted by the We Are Mass Effect community and is not affiliated with EA. A #SaveMassEffect petition on Change.org has gathered around 300K signatures, asking the publisher to fund continued Mass Effect development or license the franchise to another studio.

After the BioWare closure

On October 21, EA shut down BioWare, the studio behind Mass Effect and Dragon Age. The closure led to the cancellation of the next Mass Effect game, which had been in development for several years.

November 7 was previously used by BioWare for N7 Day, when the studio celebrated the franchise and occasionally revealed upcoming projects. Voice actors Jennifer Hale and Mark Meer have publicly encouraged fans to back the #SaveMassEffect effort.
