Saw: Genesis Delayed to Q1 2027 Early Access on PC
Bloober Team announced Saw: Genesis, a 3v1 asymmetrical multiplayer prequel set after World War I, now delayed to Early Access in Q1 2027 on PC.
Bloober Team has announced Saw: Genesis, an asymmetrical multiplayer game set in the Saw universe. The game is now scheduled to enter Early Access in Q1 2027 on PC, following a delay. PC is currently the only confirmed platform.
Saw: Genesis features 3v1 matches in which three players control the Accused and one controls the Judge. Maps are procedurally generated. Players caught in Rehabilitation Traps may have to sacrifice a body part to escape, which affects their abilities afterward.
The Judge is physically vulnerable and can be injured, unlike typical asymmetrical horror villains. Bloober Team describes the Judge as an early architect of the philosophy that would eventually influence Jigsaw.
The game is set in the aftermath of World War I, roughly a century before John Kramer's tests. It is co-developed by Broken Mirror Games and Anshar Studios, with Bloober Team publishing.
James Wan's original Saw film was released in 2004. The franchise has produced nine additional movies since the original.
