Sega Unveils $7,000 Porcelain Sonic Sculpture, Only 50 Made

Sega has announced a hand-painted porcelain Sonic the Hedgehog sculpture priced at $7,000, according to GameSpot. Only 50 pieces of the sculpture will be produced, and buyers must enter a lottery for a chance to purchase one.
The piece is created by Japanese studio YOYOYO. It comes with a certificate of authenticity, a wooden stand, and a wooden box.
The sculpture uses gosu cobalt-blue underglaze pigment for a fade-resistant "eternal blue" finish. Its base is made of Amakusa porcelain stone, and the piece is designed to have a shelf-life of at least 100 years.
Sega said the sculpture celebrates the franchise's 35th anniversary in 2026. The company has not shared a release date or lottery entry window.
