Smalland 2: Lost Realms Delayed to 2027 as Gameplay Trailer Debuts
Max Ent Games showed swimming, climbing and a new perk system, but says the survival game needs more time to reach its target experience.
Max Ent Games Ltd, part of Maximum Entertainment, released the first gameplay trailer for Smalland 2: Lost Realms and confirmed that the game's release has moved from 2026 to 2027. The announcement was reported by gamespark.jp.
The studio said the delay gives the team more time to refine the content so it can reach the gameplay experience level it is aiming for. No new release window beyond 2027 was given.
The trailer shows new movement abilities, including swimming through currents that can push the player, climbing giant walls, and bouncing off leaves and mushrooms. Resource harvesting now lets players break targeted plant parts, while crafting assigns materials per component and changes performance.
A new perk system allows abilities to be upgraded by field, alongside what the developer describes as improved combat and stealth systems. The game supports online co-op for 1 to 10 players.
Smalland 2: Lost Realms is planned for PC via the Epic Games Store and Steam, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2. Steam lists planned Japanese language support.
