Snowberry Games, an indie studio based in Antwerp, Belgium, has announced Silk & Sorrow, a hand-drawn dark fantasy co-op adventure for two players. The game is planned for release on PC in 2027, with a demo scheduled for December. A Steam store page is already live.
In Silk & Sorrow, players control two children who enter an underground world called Chrysalis, which has been plunged into darkness by the death of the giant glow-worm Sun Queen. One player must carry a small glowing creature called Glint to light the way.
All environments, creatures and animation frames are hand-drawn. Glint was originally an ordinary lantern and was changed into a living creature that players can care for. Players feed fireflies to Glint to strengthen its abilities.
The game supports both local and online co-op. According to gamebiz.jp, Snowberry Games is a Belgian indie studio.
