Star Wars Zero Company Patch 1.2 Adds Campaign Difficulty Modifiers
Bit Reactor and EA's update is live on PS5, PC and Xbox Series X, adding injury settings, death-risk options and new campaign toggles.
EA and Bit Reactor released Star Wars Zero Company Patch 1.2 on October 17, 2026, adding a broad set of campaign modifiers to the tactics game. The update is live on PlayStation 5, Windows PC and Xbox Series X, Polygon reported.
The modifiers must be enabled before starting a new campaign. Among the new injury settings are Instant Death, Two Strikes and Three Strikes, while the risk-of-death options include No Risk of Death, Static Risk of Death at 20%, and Escalating Risk of Death, which starts at 20% and rises to 40% and then 80%.
Patch 1.2 also adds a Reduced Health Increases option that grants +1 Maximum Health per 6 Focus Points instead of per 3, and a No Perfect Shots setting that caps the maximum hit chance for any attack at 99%. Further optional settings can disable cross-training for disliked pairs or reduce the advantage gained from different attack types.
The patch also makes gameplay tweaks intended to encourage use of the Upgrade Facility and reduces the power of Cly's Combat Jump movement ability. Bit Reactor said it plans to explore additional configurations for campaign modifiers in future updates.
Limited post-launch support
The update follows a quiet period for the game. Before release, Bit Reactor furloughed many developers, and post-launch updates were nearly nonexistent until the studio brought back some furloughed workers earlier in October 2026.
