SteelSeries unveils Sensei Pro and Rival Pro UWB gaming mice

SteelSeries announced two wireless mouse lines in standard and Mini sizes at 33,310 yen each, with black models due in Japan from November 20, 2026.

SteelSeries announced the Sensei Pro and Rival Pro wireless gaming mice at a product event in Tokyo on October 22, 2026, according to 4gamer.net. Both lines come in standard and Mini sizes, and every model carries a manufacturer's suggested retail price of 33,310 yen including tax.

The Sensei Pro series uses a symmetrical shape, while the Rival Pro series has an ergonomic body that curves slightly to the left at the front. Standard-size models weigh 53g and Mini models 49g; the white versions are 1g heavier. Black models go on sale sequentially in Japan from November 20, 2026, with white models planned from mid-December onward.

The mice connect over Ultra Wideband (UWB) wireless in the 7.25 to 9GHz band, which SteelSeries says is less affected by congestion and interference than 2.4GHz connections. Polling rate supports up to 8000Hz. The Infinite Power System uses hot-swappable batteries, with two included plus a charging base station that doubles as a USB wireless adapter. Battery life reaches up to 16 hours at 8000Hz and up to 60 hours at 1000Hz per battery, or up to 32 hours and 120 hours with both.

Inside is the SteelSeries-customized TrueMove 42K Pro sensor, based on PixArt Imaging's PAW3955, with 800 IPS maximum tracking speed, 70G maximum acceleration and 42,000 DPI maximum resolution. Main buttons use optical switches rated for up to 100 million clicks with roughly 0.35ms click response. The SteelSeries GG software offers Sensitivity Finder and Sensitivity Converter, and settings can also be adjusted through SteelSeries GG Web in a browser.

Hands-on event in Akihabara

A pop-up event where visitors can try the new products runs at LIFORK AKIHABARA II in Akihabara, Tokyo, from October 23 to 25, open 13:00 to 20:00 on October 23 and 24 and 13:00 to 19:00 on October 25. At the October 22 announcement event, six players and a coach from the VALORANT division of pro esports team SCARZ took part and praised UWB for addressing concerns about wireless interference and sensor dropouts.
