Thief: The Dark Project PS5 remaster launches December 3

Nightdive Studios rebuilt the stealth classic on its KEX Engine, adding a new campaign called The Tarnished Mirror alongside Thief: Gold's missions.

A remastered version of Thief: The Dark Project will launch on PS5 on December 3, 2026, according to Push Square. The release was built using Nightdive Studios' KEX Engine.

The remaster runs at 4K resolution and 120 frames per second. It bundles the full base game with the three extra missions that shipped with Thief: Gold.

It also adds an entirely new campaign titled The Tarnished Mirror, which was not part of the original release.

Thief: The Dark Project first launched in 1998, and Thief: Gold later expanded it with the three additional missions now included in this version.
