Kakao Games Adds Crush Line Mode to Today Du Hodoo
The November 5 update also introduces a Hall of Fame and per-game rankings, plus a seven-day growth guide for new players.
Kakao Games released a content update for its brain training game 'Today Du Hodoo' on November 5, adding the 'Crush Line' training mode and reworking the game's ranking system, according to gamemeca.com.
'Crush Line' is a spatial-temporal training mode built around various blocks. The update also adds a Hall of Fame and individual rankings for each of the cognitive training casual games, replacing the previous ranking structure.
New players are guided by 'Dr. Ho's 7-Day Growth Guide', which awards reward items for completing missions. The informational content 'Dr. Ho's Brain Story' will keep being provided, covering cognitive psychology, short-term memory and memorization techniques.
Earlier research work
Kakao Games and developer Belluga, a cognitive function startup, signed a business agreement in 2023 to jointly research serious games for dementia diagnosis, prevention and management. In June 2024, before 'Today Du Hodoo', the two released the dementia sign detection game 'Brain OK', and a paper on its cognitive function measurement effectiveness was published in the medical journal 'Diagnostics'.
