Trophy Games Acquires Playrion from Paradox

Trophy Games buys Paris studio Playrion from Paradox Interactive, adding 30 staff and the Airport Simulator IP to its mobile simulation lineup.

Trophy Games has acquired Playrion from Paradox Interactive, the company announced. The deal includes an upfront payment of €2.25 million and a three-year earn-out tied to net revenue performance.

All 30 Playrion employees will join Trophy Games as part of the acquisition. The Paris-based studio was founded in 2010 and had been owned by Paradox Interactive since 2020.

Trophy Games plans to use Airport Simulator as the foundation for a new series of simulation games. The company previously acquired Airline Manager 4 in 2021, building out its mobile management portfolio.

Alongside the deal, Trophy Games updated its 2026 financial outlook, projecting revenue between €22.8 million and €24.1 million, up from its previous guidance of €20.1 million to €22.4 million. The company says it has six games currently in development.
