Uchikoshi Opens New Studio CRASH KEYS After Cancelled Title

Kotaro Uchikoshi says he founded CRASH KEYS in 2025 and is now seeking work requests and investment after a project was cancelled.

Game creator Kotaro Uchikoshi announced that he established a new studio, CRASH KEYS, in 2025, and that a title he had been developing for a year and a half was cancelled, according to gamespark.jp.

Writing on his X account, Uchikoshi said the studio had originally been set to be announced in 2027 alongside that title, but the reveal was brought forward. He explained that he went public early because otherwise the company would literally "CRASH."

The creator is now seeking work requests and investment in projects. The CRASH KEYS official website is already public, and it includes elements reminiscent of the Zero Escape series as well as what appears to be cipher text on its English page.

Uchikoshi has written scenarios for games including Ever17, Zero Escape and AI: The Somnium Files. More recently, in 2025, he worked on HUNDRED LINE -The Last Defense Academy- at Tookyo Games, which he co-founded with other developers.
