Cygames Cancels Los Angeles Umamusume Stage Event Over Visa Denial

Cygames said performers' US visas were not approved in time; all tickets, including streaming and Japan live-viewing passes, will be refunded.

Cygames announced on its official website on October 20 at 1:30 PM KST that the World Tour: The Stage in Los Angeles event for Umamusume: Pretty Derby has been cancelled. The event was scheduled to take place over two days at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, California.

The stop was the seventh event of the world tour and its first overseas date. According to gamemeca.com, 17 voice actors and singers were set to perform.

Cygames and the organizers said they worked for more than six months with a local promoter and legal representatives to secure visas for the performers but did not receive government approval before the event.

All tickets will be refunded, including streaming tickets and live-viewing tickets sold to fans in Japan. The organizers are considering follow-up measures for attendees who planned to travel in person, with details to be posted on the event's official website.

Background

The world tour began with a show at Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan in June, and advance ticket sales for the Los Angeles stop started on July 23.
