Uta Macross Crowdfunding Hits 150 Million Yen, Console Versions Greenlit

The revival project passed its 150 million yen goal on October 20, 2026, unlocking development of multiple console versions ahead of a spring 2027 release.

The Uta Macross revival project's crowdfunding campaign reached its 150 million yen stretch goal on October 20, 2026, according to news.denfaminicogamer.jp. Passing that threshold means development of multiple console versions has begun, the project said.

The console editions are planned for sale after the iOS, Android and Steam release, which is scheduled for around spring 2027. AUGUST Inc. is developing the title.

The project also set its final stretch goals: 180 million yen for additional songstress costumes and 200 million yen for new songs not included in Uta Macross: Smartphone De Culture. Both are planned as DLC released after the base package.

The base package is set to include about 50 songs and over 1,000 illustrations, with 20 or more costumes per songstress available from the start. The campaign runs on CAMPFIRE until October 31, 2026.

Supporters who pledge by the end of the campaign will receive a digital project member card, and those at the D course and above also get a special pin badge, with no extra procedure required.

Earlier goals and series history

The campaign launched on CAMPFIRE on September 10, 2026 at 20:00. Stretch goals reached earlier include 75 million yen to start console version development, 90 million yen to expand songs recorded for the 3D mini live, 100 million yen for new songs and 135 million yen to expand a special art book. Uta Macross: Smartphone De Culture ended its service in 2022. The Macross anime series began with the 1982 TV anime Super Dimension Fortress Macross and will mark its 45th anniversary in 2027.
