The Music Unc Announces Vibe Together Music Sandbox for PC

A Steam demo is coming soon for the multiplayer music sandbox, which supports live sessions with up to eight players.

The Music Unc has announced Vibe Together, a multiplayer music sandbox for PC, with a Steam demo coming soon, according to gamingonlinux.com. A Steam release date and price will be announced later.

In Vibe Together, players place musical blocks on a shared 3D grid and connect them for non-linear sequencing. The game supports live sessions with up to eight friends, or players can join a live lobby.

The project includes a custom synth engine with subtractive, wavetable and FM synthesis, along with a full mixer, MIDI in and out, and audio and stem export. Songs can also be played in arcade modes such as rhythm games and roguelikes.

The upcoming demo will include local sessions, controller support and Steam Deck support.

More than three years in development

The Music Unc built Vibe Together over more than three years, starting with the procedural music system, then the synth engine, the non-linear sequencing system and real-time multiplayer. It grew out of an earlier music automation game whose best part turned out to be the sandbox.
