Bulkhead: Wardogs Port to PS6 and Project Helix Should Be Straightforward
Bulkhead co-founder Howard Philpott says bringing Wardogs to next-gen consoles would be a straight port, with console versions slated for 2028.
Bulkhead co-founder Howard Philpott said that bringing Wardogs to next-generation consoles would be a straight port, as the studio looks ahead to PlayStation 6 and Xbox's Project Helix.
Senior producer Kane Allard said Bulkhead is already in conversation with platform holders about console versions of Wardogs. The game is slated to come to consoles in 2028.
Season 2 Adds Rain
Season 2 of Wardogs launches next week and will introduce rain as a gameplay feature.
Wardogs is currently in early access on PC. Neither Sony nor Microsoft has announced an official release window for PlayStation 6 or Project Helix.
Last month, former PlayStation Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida said Sony and Nintendo should make their current consoles last as long as possible amid rising costs. Previously, analysts suggested a 2028 launch for PS6 seemed likely. Xbox CEO Asha Sharma said Project Helix remains part of Microsoft's gaming plan and that next-gen Xbox hardware will be a "family of devices."
