Wardogs Season 2 XP Exploit Fixed as Bulkhead Removes Lonestar Bonuses
Bulkhead's backend update fixes a Driver XP bug and pulls Lonestar blue team cash and XP bonuses after players used the exploit to unlock tanks on day one.
Bulkhead has pushed a backend update for Wardogs that fixes a Driver XP progression bug and removes an exploit allowing players to rapidly unlock tanks, according to Eurogamer. The update follows the launch of Season 2 this week.
The exploit let players earn large amounts of XP by driving just outside their headquarters, dropping off pallets and returning to base. Faster XP gains on the Driver role then let them move quickly through the Driver progression track and unlock tanks on day one.
The same update also removes the Lonestar (blue team) cash and XP bonuses. Players who used the exploit extensively received 24-hour bans, with fewer than 1,000 players affected.
Season 1 context
In season one, Driver XP was among the most time-consuming progression paths to earn. The blue team, Lonestar, struggled to win games during that season, prompting the now-removed XP and cash bonus.
