We Were Here Tomorrow launches as sixth co-op puzzle entry

Total Mayhem Games released the two-player online co-op adventure on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, with Japanese voice acting for the first time.

Total Mayhem Games released We Were Here Tomorrow on October 20, 2026, alongside an announcement trailer, according to gamespark.jp. The game is the sixth entry in the studio's co-op puzzle series.

We Were Here Tomorrow is a two-player online co-op-only puzzle adventure. It offers no single-player or local multiplayer on any platform, so both players must connect online and rely on in-game voice chat to coordinate.

The story is set in a mysterious research facility designed as a retro-future version of how the 1980s imagined the future. Players explore Antarctica to rescue a fellow explorer, suffer an accident and wake inside the facility, where they solve puzzles built around time, gravity and space. The two players' situations remain asymmetric throughout.

It is the first game in the series to include Japanese voice acting, and it supports cross-platform play at launch. The game is available on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

On Steam, it is priced at 2,340 yen with a 10% discount for two weeks from release.

Series history

The series began with We Were Here in 2017 and ran through five games up to We Were Here Expeditions: The Friendship in 2023. By 2026, it had surpassed 25 million cumulative players.
