The Witcher: Legacy Board Game Targets Summer 2027

Go On Board and CD Projekt Red say the story-driven board game supports solo or co-op play for up to 4 players in the kingdom of Kaedwen.

Go On Board and CD Projekt Red have officially revealed The Witcher: Legacy and are targeting a Summer 2027 release window for it, according to gamerant.com. The project is a story-driven board game rather than a video game.

The game supports solo play or cooperative sessions with up to 4 players, and its campaign uses a branching narrative set in the kingdom of Kaedwen after an attack on the School of the Wolf.

Players take on the roles of surviving Witchers from the School of the Wolf, and the decisions they make carry over between sessions across the campaign. The story is set long before the time of Geralt of Rivia.

The board game was originally announced in 2025. CD Projekt Red has also been active on the video game side of the franchise: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered launched on September 29, 2026, and a PS5 stability hotfix for it arrived on October 13, 2026.

Further out, the Songs of the Past expansion for The Witcher 3 is planned for 2027, while The Witcher 4 is targeting a 2028 release.
