Blizzard hotfixes World of Warcraft: Forever Tauren flag exploit

The first major patch stops plainsrunning stacks from stacking in battleground prep and carrying over when Taurens grab the enemy flag.

Blizzard released the first major hotfix patch for World of Warcraft: Forever on November 6, 2026, targeting a Tauren passive that could be exploited in capture the flag battlegrounds, according to Eurogamer.

The patch stops the Tauren plainsrunning passive from stacking during a battleground's preparation phase. It also strips existing plainsrunning stacks from Taurens when they pick up the enemy flag, and blocks them from gaining new stacks while they carry it.

The hotfix also reduced the respawn time of the NPC Deathstalker Erland, who is required for an escort quest.

On Zephras Isle, supply vendors now stock the tradeskill bags that are also available in other starter zones.

Launch week cleanup

World of Warcraft: Forever launched earlier in the same week and was described as one of the smoothest launches in the series, apart from a few broken boats and zeppelins.
