WoW October 6 Tuning Hits Unholy DKs, Buffs Shamans and Monks
Blizzard's new World of Warcraft tuning notes cut Unholy Death Knight Blightfall damage and buff Brewmaster, Mistweaver, Enhancement, and Subtlety Rogue.
Blizzard has released a new round of World of Warcraft class tuning notes that go live with weekly maintenance on October 6, according to PCGamesN. The update touches several specs and hero talents across both PvE and PvP, while leaving some changes restricted to one mode.
Unholy Death Knights take the clearest hit: Blightfall now deals 100% of remaining plague damage, down from 200%. Devourer Demon Hunters move the other way, with an 8% damage boost to Consume/Devour, Reap/Cull, and the primary target damage of Eradicate and Collapsing Star. The Hunt's initial damage and Voidblade output each rise by 10%. None of the Demon Hunter changes apply in PvP.
Monks pick up durability on two fronts. Brewmasters see Quick Sip purify 8% of stagger instead of 5%, while Pretense of Instability's dodge bonus lasts eight seconds instead of five. Mistweavers gain 15% additional healing from Invigorating Mists and Enveloping Mist, with the Enveloping Mist portion applying only in PvE.
Subtlety Rogues get buffs to the Trickster hero talent: Fazed's damage boost moves from 5% to 7%, while Unseen Blade becomes 15% harder and Coupe de Grace 10% harder, none of which apply in PvP. Enhancement Shamans receive a 4% class-wide boost to all ability and auto-attack damage in PvE, and Lava Lash damage increases by 35% in PvE.
Alongside the tuning, Orin Straylight will offer an extra weekly Nebulous Voidcore for bonus rolls starting with the October 6 update.
What else is coming
Patch 12.1.5 is scheduled for October 13 in NA and October 14 in EU, and will add a single-boss raid against C'Thraxxi general Kith'ix, Labyrinths, and Aqir Invasions.
