Yoko Taro Says He Keeps Making Games Partly to Prevent Dementia

The game creator said at The Tenth Mosaic opening ceremony that he hopes to step away from full-time development.

Yoko Taro said he continues to make games partly as a way to prevent dementia, and that he hopes to step away from full-time game development. He made the remarks during a conversation with Keisuke Okabe at the opening ceremony of The Tenth Mosaic, according to gamesradar.com.

Taro said he is not keen on maintaining a strict work schedule. He added that the first Drakengard was a distillation of what he wanted to do in games, and that everything since then has been a way of using up his remaining days.

The conversation took place at the opening ceremony of The Tenth Mosaic in late September.
