A Statement, directed by Tom McCarthy and starring Paul Rudd, held its world premiere at the New York Film Festival on Saturday evening, according to Variety.

Their co-star Amy Ryan encouraged other filmmakers to adopt a similar no-phones policy on set.
The film is set at a Florida beachside resort in 1980 and follows 20 experts hashing out differences over a statement to Congress about carbon dioxide emissions. The cast also includes Paul Giamatti, Tatiana Maslany and John Turturro.
