Origins of the series
Archie Comics released Afterlife With Archie #1 in 2013, written by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and drawn by Francavilla, depicting a zombie outbreak in Riverdale. The title went on to inspire an Archie Horror line that includes The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Jughead the Hunger and Vampironica; The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina later inspired a Netflix series.
The campaign follows Archie's recent entry into a publishing agreement with Oni Press.
