Alcon International Studios said it is exploring UK series adaptations of several films in the Alcon library, including Insomnia and Prisoners, according to Deadline. The company will also launch its first slate at Mipcom with the series First Woman.
First Woman was recently ordered by ITV and stars Andrea Riseborough and Ashley Walters.
The international division was launched earlier this summer by Alcon Media Group, with former Amazon executive Diego Piasek as President. The unit was also involved in organizing the international co-financing package for the TV reboot of Point Break, with Studiocanal partnering with AMC.
