Altered Innocence has acquired North American rights to Kasper Kalle's 'No Rest For The Wicked,' which won two awards at Fantasia and is set for a 2027 theatrical release.
Altered Innocence has acquired all North American rights to No Rest For The Wicked, the latest feature from director Kasper Kalle and writer Rasmus Birch.
The film world-premiered in Competition at the 2026 Fantasia International Film Festival, where it won the Cheval Noir Award for Best Director and Best Actor for star Pilou Asbæk.
Set in the Faroe Islands in 1862, No Rest For The Wicked stars Asbæk alongside Egor Venned, Sofia Nolsøe Mikkelsen, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson and Kjartan Hansen. It is inspired by Karl Heinrich Ulrichs' 1885 short story Manor.
Lars Bredo Rahbek produced for SF Studios, with Outlier Projects and Truenorth co-producing. A theatrical release is planned for 2027.
