Amazing Spider-Man #1000 Introduces Peter Parker's Grandson

Marvel Comics has released The Amazing Spider-Man #1000, a milestone issue celebrating 1000 issues of Peter Parker's main comic title. The landmark release introduces a brand-new Spider-Man: Peter Parker's grandson.

In a story written by Noah Hawley with art by Patrick Gleason, Marcio Menyz and Erick Arciniega, an elderly Peter Parker's grandson inherits spider powers and takes on the Spider-Man mantle. He wears a classic-looking suit with spikes on his forearms and back and large angular lenses.

The grandson is the son of Peter's son Miles and inherited Mary Jane's redhead genes. The story features Quentin Beck, Mysterio, as the villain behind Peter's confusion, and Miles Morales appears in a photo cameo at the end.

In the future of Earth-807128, Peter Parker's granddaughter and Hawkeye's daughter Ashley Barton kills Kingpin and adopts her grandfather's costume to govern the Wastelands.
