FX Renews American Horror Story for Season 14
No cast or storylines have been announced for the new season, which Ryan Murphy has said will return to the anthology format.
FX has renewed American Horror Story for season 14, according to screenrant.com. No cast members or storylines for the new season have been revealed yet.
Co-creator Ryan Murphy has indicated that season 14 will return to the show's original anthology format. The series began as an anthology, with each season telling a self-contained story under its own subtitle.
The renewal follows season 13, which premiered this fall on FX with a new half-hour format and an all-star cast that included Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Billie Lourd, Emma Roberts, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Gabourey Sidibe and John Carroll Lynch.
For that season, Murphy made the show an Avengers-like crossover, with cast members playing multiple characters.
In recent months, Murphy said he planned to continue the series beyond season 13.
