Anne Hathaway's Box Office Rollercoaster: From $3M Flop to $1.7B Nolan Epic

Anne Hathaway's 2026 box office performance has been anything but predictable. In April, she starred in A24's Mother Mary, which earned just $3 million at the box office. One month later, The Devil Wears Prada 2 premiered and grossed nearly $700 million worldwide against a $100 million production budget.

Hathaway then reunited with director Christopher Nolan for The Odyssey in mid-July. The film, which cost $250 million to produce, has grossed over $1.7 billion. It is set to arrive on VOD platforms in November.

Earlier in the year, Hathaway also starred in The End of Oak Street alongside Ewan McGregor. That film grossed $120 million against an $85 million budget.

The numbers, reported by Collider, highlight a year of extreme swings for the actress, from a modest A24 release to one of the highest-grossing films of the year.
