Antoinette Jadaone Launches Ilaya Ilaya Production Company

Filmmaker Antoinette Jadaone is launching a new production company, Ilaya Ilaya, which she will run with producer Reign Anne De Guzman. The outfit's slate spans genre films, television originals and immersive theatre, according to Deadline.

Leading the film lineup is Birdsong, a found-footage horror film directed by Pam Miras and written by Glenn Barit. The story follows an ornithologist searching for a mythical bird on a remote mountain. It won the Kantana Sound Studio Asian Project Award at the Bangkok International Content Market 2026.

Ilaya Ilaya is also backing Chandra Catacutan And The Curse Of The Fuchsia Moon, a supernatural comedy starring Eugene Domingo and directed by Tim Rone Villanueva, which features a manananggal from Philippine folklore. Another title, Crème de la Crème, is a coming-of-age whodunnit directed by Irene Emma Villamor and written by Glenn Barit, partly inspired by a 2006 incident at Philippine Science High School involving mercury nitrate.

Jadaone returns to directing with the dark comedy Boldstar, starring Angelica Panganiban. The project won the CJ Entertainment Prize at the Asian Project Market in 2019 and was selected for the Berlinale European Co-Production Market in 2020.

On the television side, Ilaya Ilaya is developing an untitled romcom series for Netflix Philippines, with Jadaone as showrunner and Fatrick Tabada co-writing. The company is also planning an immersive stage adaptation of Sunshine, directed by Mikko Angeles and written by Mika Regis, with Maris Racal returning in her stage debut.
